Jeff Vandenberg
Jeff Vandenberg (alias Napoleon Bony Part) is the bass player and Manager of FROGS ON TOAST. Jeff has been in the music arena for a very long time and Frogs On Toast is the culmination of a lifetime of working in every type of band imaginable and ending up in what can only be described as ... well, Frogs on Toast I guess! It took only twenty-five years to become a typical 'overnight' success.
Jeff gained management skills in the Public Service but despite this, he successfully manages FROGS. Originally starting out as a guitarist, he soon came to realise that playing bass only involved four strings instead of six. He really wanted to be a drummer because they only use two sticks, further cutting down the number of things to concentrate on.
Jeff has two basses, one much loved Fender Precision and an Ibanez Ergadine bass. The much-loved Fender weighs a ton so he had to change to the lighter bass.
Like Napoleon, Jeff hails from Europe, a small country called Holland where the weather is cold and soccer is played 8 days a week. Had he not come to Australia in 1968 Jeff would have certainly been a professional soccer player. He averaged 25 goals per season and won the prestigious………oh sorry - got carried away there. Jeff's real passion is music and together with his soul mate and partner, Trish Allen (Madame Moselle) Frogs On Toast is a force to be reckoned with.
They will not rest nor be satisfied until Frogs have done their overseas tour of duty and performed in Las Vegas, Tokyo, the Asia Pacific, the world and who knows where after that? In the meantime Napoleon is trying very hard to rally his troops to conquer the whole of this great country called Australia.
Jeff's Motto?
Viva Les Frogs On Toast!
